WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University midfielder Stephanie Helin (Manchester, Conn./East Catholic HS) has been named the Northeast-10 Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Helin helped the Falcons earn a big NE-10 victory on Oct. 12 at Merrimack 2-0, as she was involved in both goals. She scored the game's opening goal in the 48^th minute after she fired home a crossing pass from sophomore Alyssa Valente (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan HS). Helin then assisted on Bentley's 2^nd goal in the 76^th minute, which came from senior Ana Tantum (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull HS) after Helin chipped her a pass.

In nine matches this season, Helin has four goals and one assist for nine points. She ranks 3^rd on the team in both goals and points.

Bentley, which has a 4-4-2 Northeast-10 record for 14 points, is in the thick of the playoff chase. They will enter Tuesday's match at home against Le Moyne in 8^th place in the tightly bunched standings.
