Bentley, Franklin Piece Play to Scoreless Draw

RINDGE, N.H. – Bentley and Franklin Pierce played to a 0-0 draw Wednesday night in a Northeast-10 women's soccer matchup. Junior goalie Christiana Hynds (West Roxbury, Mass./Boston Latin) made five saves on the night for the Falcons.

Franklin Pierce had a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal and 4-3 in corner kicks but Bentley kept the ball out, while Ravens sophomore goalie Katie Weldon made three saves to keep the Falcons from scoring.

Franklin Pierce had three corner kicks in the two overtime periods, but Bentley had the only shot on net, coming from freshman Ana Tantum (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) in the 105th minute, but Weldon made the save.

With the tie, Bentley's record goes to 2-5-1 on the season and 1-4-1 in Northeast-10 play. Franklin Pierce's record goes to 3-3-2 overall and 2-2-2 in the NE-10. Bentley is back in action on Saturday when they host Pace at 10:00 am.
