NE10 Quarterfinal Showdown Set for Saturday Between Bentley and Assumption

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley and Assumption are set for a showdown in the Northeast 10 Championship quarterfinals on Saturday in Waltham. The Falcons are the fourth seed and the Greyhounds the fifth seed.

These teams are also close in the IWLCA national rankings with Bentley 18th and Assumption 19th.

The regular season game was also a tight contest, one the Falcons were victorious in 10-8 out in Worcester on March 27. Freshman goalie Lauren Rochel made 19 saves in her first career start and Amanda Davis had a hat trick.

Saturday's game will be the fifth postseason game all-time with each team owning two wins. Bentley won the most recent game, 10-9 in overtime in the 2021 quarterfinals on its way to winning the NE10 title. Caroline Affolter, then a freshman, scored the winning goal.

The winner of this game will take on the winner of Pace and Franklin Pierce on Wednesday.

On the other side of the bracket, the two seed Adelphi hosts the seven seed Southern N.H. and the three seed New Haven hosts the six seed Saint Anselm.
