Falcons Look to Clinch Home Playoff Game Tuesday at Southern Connecticut

WALTHAM, Mass. – The final game of the regular season has arrived, and with it an opportunity for the Falcons to clinch a home game in the Northeast-10 Championship with a win.

Playoff Picture

Bentley enters Tuesday's game in a three-way tie for third place in the NE10 standings with New Haven and Assumption at 7-3. They have the head-to-head tiebreaker over Assumption (10-8 win on March 27) but not over New Haven (14-13 loss on April 20).

Assumption also lost to New Haven, meaning that a Bentley win over Southern Connecticut clinches at least the four seed and a home game in the first round on Saturday. Bentley can move up to the three seed with a New Haven loss at Saint Michael's on Wednesday.

Pace at 10-0 has already clinched the first seed and Adelphi at 10-1 has clinched the two seed.

National Ranking

Bentley is ranked 18th in this week's IWLCA poll for the fourth straight week.

Highly Efficient

Amanda Davis scored on all nine of her shots in two games last week against Pace and Saint Michael's. She had six goals in the win over the Purple Knights and three goals against Pace on Saturday.

Davis has 42 goals on the season to rank 13th in the NE10. Of the 17 players in the NE10 with at least 40 goals so far this season, her 60 percent shooting percentage (42-70) is the best.

She was named to the NE10 Weekly Honor on Monday. She's a two-time Player of the Week this season.

Series History

Bentley has never lost to the Owls in 20 previous games. They won last year's game at home 15-7.
