#18 Bentley Looks to Extend Winning Streak at Home on Wednesday

WALTHAM, Mass. – Winners of four straight, #18 ranked Bentley will look to extend its winning streak when they host Southern New Hampshire on Wednesday night before traveling to Saint Anselm on Saturday.

 

An Award and a (co) Record

Maeve Johnson was named the NE10 Player of the Week on Monday after she scored 14 goals in two games last week. In Saturday night's victory at Saint Rose, she tied the program record for goals (9) and points (11) in a single game.

Both of those records are shared with Lauren Ferraro, who set the records in two different games during the 2001 season.

Johnson earned her first career NE10 Player of the Week award.

 

National Ranking

The Falcons are ranked #18 in this week's IWLCA poll. That is up one spot from #19 last week.

Going into Wednesday's game Bentley is 6-4 overall and 4-1 in the NE10. That has them a half game behind first place Pace and Adelphi who are both 4-0.

 

Keenan on a Run

Sophomore Caitlin Keenan has 14 points in the last two games. She notched a career high six assists in the 19-5 win over Franklin Pierce on April 2. In Saturday's win at Saint Rose she had four goals and three assists.

 

Affolter on the Draw

Caroline Affolter ranks fourth in the NE10 in draw controls with 53.

 

Series Histories

Bentley leads SNHU in the all-time series 16-7. They won last season's game in Manchester 15-12.

The Falcons also lead Saint Anslem in the all-time series at 25-4. Bentley won the regular season game 14-10 but the Hawks won in the quarterfinals of the NE10 Championship 11-10.
