Johnson Scores 100th Career Goal in 19-3 Win over AIC

WALTHAM, Mass. – Maeve Johnson scored her 100th career goal in a 19-3 win for #18 Bentley over AIC on Saturday afternoon.

Johnson hit the 100 goal milestone with her second tally of the afternoon 4:38 into the 1st quarter.

Senior Courtney Dermody eclipsed 100 career points with a goal at 11:31 of the opening quarter.

The Falcons led from start to finish to earn their second straight win and fourth of the season. Their record improved to 4-4 on the season and 2-1 in the NE10.

Amanda Davis opened the scoring 27 seconds into the game and Caroline Affolter followed with a goal 48 seconds later.

Johnson then netted two goals less than a minute apart for a 4-0 lead after less than four minutes.

Sophia Pope scored her first NCAA goal at 7:09 of the 1st quarter and proceeded to have a hat trick before the end of the quarter.

Freshman Ava Mule netted her first NCAA goal at 5:45 of the 1st quarter and scored again in the 2nd quarter.

Senior defender and co-captain Emma Jadul scored her first career goal on a free-position shot 45 seconds into the 3rd quarter.

Freshman Abby Wyss scored her first two career goals at 7:30 and 6:00 of the 4th quarter.

Pope added two assists for a game high five points. Caitlin Keenan had four points on a goal and three assists and freshman Ava Pirozzolo notched three assists.
