COLCHESTER, Vt. – No. 24 ranked Bentley earned a 21-2 victory at Saint Michael's College on Wednesday afternoon. Graduate student Cara McCarthy (Salem, N.H./Central Catholic) had a hat trick to reach the 100 career goals milestone.
The Falcons improved to 5-5 overall and 4-4 in the Northeast-10 with the victory.
McCarthy is the 13th player in the program's history to reach 100 career goals. With 116 career points she is currently 15th all-time in program history.
McCarthy was one of 15 players to score on the day for Bentley. Sophomore Courtney Dermody (Bedford, N.H./Bedford) also had a hat trick and she notched four assists for a career-high seven points.
Senior Caroline Boudreau (Foxborough, Mass./Foxborough) and junior Sydney Lynch (Bedford, N.H./Bedford) each scored two goals.
McCarthy and Joelle Solecki each had a game-high four draw controls and senior Christine Fish (Slingerlands, N.Y./Guilderland) had game-highs with five ground balls and four caused turnovers.
Bentley now has a quick turnaround for its next game, which comes Friday on the road at Southern Connecticut.
