No. 14 Pace Tops No. 20 Bentley 16-6 on Senior Day

WALTHAM, Mass. – In a game that was delayed twice by the weather, No. 14 ranked Pace University defeated No. 20 ranked Bentley 16-6 on Senior Day.

Prior to the game, the Falcons women's lacrosse program recognized the seven senior student-athletes that comprised its Class of 2022; Katie Arce (Celebration, Fla./Celebration), Megan Lynch (Wilton, Conn./Wilton), Eliza Crane (Woodbridge, Conn/Amity), Caroline Boudreau (Foxborugh, Mass./Foxborough), Glenna Gies (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand), Christine Fish (Guilderland, N.Y./Slingerlands) and Kayli Keenan (Pelham, N.H./Bishop Guertin).

Graduate students Cara McCarthy (Salem, N.H./Central Catholic) and Sandrine Heller (Weggis, Switzerland) were also recognized.

There were two lengthy weather delays of about 45 minutes each due to lighting in the area. The first with about 1:42 remaining in the 2nd quarter and the second with about 13:00 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.

Pace led 3-1 after the 1st quarter and surged ahead with a 4-0 run over the first four-plus minutes of the 2nd quarter. They outscored Bentley 8-1 in the second quarter and led 11-2 at halftime.

Boudreau had two goals on the day and Keenan also notched a goal. Crane had three ground balls and two caused turnovers.

The Falcons dropped to 4-5 overall and 3-4 NE10 with the defeat, while the Setters improved to 8-3 overall and 5-2 NE10.

Bentley will next be in action on Wednesday at Saint Michael's.
