Bresler Receives CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors

Waltham, Mass. – Former Bentley University women's lacrosse goalie Eliza Bresler (Newton, Mass./Newton) received CoSIDA Academic All-District 1 honors for the Women's At-Large team in Division II.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their performances in both the classroom and in competition. District 1 for Division II includes teams in the Northeast-10, Central Atlantic and East Coast Conferences. While the At-Large team recognizes student-athletes from sports such as lacrosse, field hockey, tennis, swimming, golf and more.

Bresler, who received her MBA in management from Bentley, adds yet another award to her mantle from the 2021 season. Among the major honors she received are IWLCA first team All-American and the IWLCA Division II Goalie of the Year.

For her work in the classroom, Bresler was previously named to the Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference team.

Bresler helped lead the Falcons to the program's first ever NE10 championship with a 9-8 win over Adelphi on May 9 and she was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player. That victory led to Bentley being selected to the NCAA Tournament for the first time and the team advanced to the East Region finals.

She finished the 2021 season with the best save percentage in Division II women's lacrosse at 59.9 percent. She also led Division II in total saves with 169 and posted the 6th best goals against average at 7.76.

Bresler will now be eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-America teams, which will be announced in early August.
