Bresler Voted IWLCA’s Division II Goalie of the Year

Waltham, Mass. – One day after being named a first team All-American by the IWLCA, Bentley University's Eliza Bresler was announced as the organization's Division II Goalie of the Year on Thursday.

The IWLCA selects four student-athletes from each NCAA Division as positional Players of the Year and Bresler was selected as the Goalie of the Year for Division II.

This is the 7th major honor of 2021 for Bresler following a spectacular season where she helped lead the Bentley women's lacrosse team to the NE10 championship and a NCAA Tournament bid.

Bresler has been named a first team All-American by the IWLCA and USA Lacrosse Magazine. She was voted first team All-Region by the IWLCA, and earned first team All-Conference and Northeast Division Goalie of the Year honors from the Northeast-10. She was also named the Most Outstanding Player of the NE10 Tournament.

Bresler led Division II this season in both save percentage at .599, and in total saves with 169, and ranked sixth in goals against average at 7.76.

"We are so proud of Eliza and her accomplishments during this record-breaking season and throughout her career at Bentley," said head coach Taylor Bastien on Wednesday. "Eliza is one of the most highly regarded student-athletes in program history and has left an indelible mark at Bentley."

A three-year co-captain, Bresler finished her career at Bentley as the program's all-time leader in saves with 628. She owns the second most wins in program history with 34 and the second most ground balls with 185.

Bresler is receiving her MBA at Bentley in management and earned her undergraduate degree in business operations and supply chain management.
