Waltham, Mass. – The 15th ranked Bentley University women's lacrosse team celebrated Senior Day with a 16-3 victory over visiting Saint Michael's on Saturday afternoon.

Prior to the game the program recognized the 10 student-athletes in its senior class, and during the game it was a team effort as they improved to 9-2 on the season and 8-2 in the NE10 Northeast Division. The 10 student-athletes in the senior class are goalie Eliza Bresler, attackers Julia Glavin, Sandrine Heller, Jillian Lynch, Cara McCarthy and Claire Thompson, and defenders Dana Lewandowski, Kayleigh May, Kate Schmal and Kerry Zachman.

12 different players had a goal on the day for Bentley, led by three from senior attacker Julia Glavin (Ipswich, Mass./Ipswich). Seniors Claire Thompson (Slingerlands, N.Y./Guilderland) and Jillian Lynch (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) had two and one goals, respectively, and senior defender Kayleigh May (Natick, Mass./Natick) chipped in with a goal as well.

Graduate student goalie Eliza Bresler (Newton, Mass./Newton North) made six saves in the first half to earn the win, the 31st of her career. Sophomore Maya Rose (East Lyme, Conn./East Lyme) took over in the 2nd half and made four stops.

Freshman midfielder Caroline Affolter (Newburyport, Mass./Newburyport) had a game high three caused turnovers.

With the win, Bentley stayed in contention for first place in the Northeast Division, and the first round bye in the NE10 Playoffs that comes with it.

Before then though, the Falcons have one more regular season game. That is scheduled for Wednesday night against Stonehill, at home at 7:00 pm.
