WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley picked up its fourth win in a row on Wednesday night with a 15-12 victory over Saint Michael's in its final home game of the season. Senior Hannah Lindgren (Southborough, Mass./Algonquin) led the offense with five goals, and four others had multiple goals on the night.

With a playoff spot already locked up, the Falcons had their second highest offensive output of the season with the 15 goals, 10 of which came in the first half.

Lindgren added three assists for a career-high eight points, while senior Ciara Morley (Irvington, N.Y./Irvington) had her second hat trick of the season. Seniors Taylor Lunden (Agawam, Mass./Agawam) and Ellie Shuman (Nashua, N.H./Nashua North), and sophomore MaryKate Staines (Gaithersburg, Md./Damascus) all had two goals.

Bentley raced out to a 10-1 lead after the opening 20 minutes. After the teams traded goals in the early going, Lindgren for Bentley and Alex Vincent for Saint Michael's, the Falcons proceeded to go on a 9-0 run. Morley scored the first goal of the run. Staines' first goal of the night, at 19:52, set off a spurt of four goals in less than two minutes that saw another goal by Staines come in between goals by Lindgren and Lunden.

Lindgren's goal at 10:23 was the last of the run and Bentley's last goal of the half. The Purple Knights closed the half on a 5-0 run to get to within 10-6 at halftime.

The Falcons then led by as much as six goals in the second half at 13-7, after Morley's third goal of the night at the 22:48 mark. Two straight goals by the Purple Knights, from Kealy Moyna and Ellie Clark, brought them to within 13-9, but a goal by Lunden at 15:17 ended the run for a 14-9 Bentley lead.

That was Bentley's last goal for almost 13 minutes however, and three straight goals by the Knights, the last one by Kaelyn Oliver at 4:53, saw them creep to within 14-12.

Shuman though scored at 2:19, and Bentley was then able to run out the clock to secure the victory.

Bentley will now go into Saturday's regular season finale at New Haven with an 8-7 overall record and 7-5 in the NE10.
