No. 1 Adelphi Stays Unbeaten with Victory over No. 19 Bentley

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – No. 1 ranked Adelphi improved to 6-0 with a 15-0 victory over No. 19 ranked Bentley University in a Northeast-10 women's lacrosse game on Saturday afternoon.

The top ranked team in Division II Panthers, who advanced to the NCAA championship game last season, were led offensively by senior attacker Jacqueline Jahelka, who had five goals on the afternoon. Freshman attacker Kole Pollack added three goals, which included the final two goals of the first half.

For Bentley, senior Ellie Shuman (Nashua, N.H./Nashua North) led the team with two shots on goal, while junior Erin Woods (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla./Ponte Vedra) led the team in ground balls with two.

Bentley (1-5, 0-3 NE-10) has now played six straight top-15 teams to begin the season, three of which have been ranked in the top seven. They'll look to get back on track on Wednesday, when they play their first home game of the season against Saint Anselm.
