Brown Named Northeast-10 Player of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University senior attack Jackie Brown (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) was chosen as the Northeast-10 Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week, the conference revealed on Tuesday. It's the first time in her career she's earned the award.

Brown helped the 19th ranked Falcons to a pair of wins last week, extending their winning streak to four games. She had five goals each in wins over Saint Michael's (13-9) on April 8 and 20th ranked Saint Anselm (16-14) on April 11. She added an assist in the victory over the Hawks for a career high six point game.

Against the Purple Knights, four of her goals came in the first half as Bentley jumped out to a lead they wouldn't relinquish. She had three goals and the assist in the first half against Saint Anselm, and two tallies in the second half.

Brown has scored five goals in four different games this season, and she leads the team with 33 this season.  That ranks her 7th in the Northeast-10.

Bentley (8-4, 7-3 NE-10) will put its four game winning streak on the line on Saturday when they visit No. 8 New Haven.
