Dorman Named NE-10 Goalkeeper of the Year; Five Players Earn All-Conference Honors

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley junior Ally Dorman (Simsbury, Conn./Simsbury) was named the 2013 Northeast-10 Women's Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Year on Wednesday, the conference announced. The Falcons also had five players earn All-Conference honors, including three first team selections.

Dorman has played every minute in net for the Falcons this season and has excelled with an 11-6 record to this point. She's fourth in the NE-10 in both goals against average (9.84) and save percentage (.459), which is made more impressive by the fact that she leads the league in minutes and games played.

Also named first team All-Conference, Dorman is the third player in the program's history to be named NE-10 Goalie of the Year.

Selected second team All-Conference for the fourth straight year is attacker Cori Geiger (Agawam, Mass./Agawam). Ranked second in program history in goals, assists and points, and owner of two of the top-five scoring seasons in school history, Geiger needs just one more point to reach at least 50 for the fourth consecutive year. She currently has 28 goals and 21 assists for 49 points this season, which puts her in the top three on the team in each category.

Junior midfielder Carolyn Kynoch (Ashland, Mass./Ashland) earned a first team All-Conference selection after a stellar all-around season. Ranking fifth on the team in goals (24) and sixth in points (30), Kynoch also excelled in other parts of the game. As the team's primary taker of draw controls, she amassed a team best 65, while also ranking second in caused turnovers (20) and third in ground balls (35). It's the first All-Conference selection of her career.

Sophomore defenseman Amy Ernst (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) is the third Falcon named first team All-Conference. She has started 16 of 17 games while accumulating 24 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers. Moreover, her play has helped Bentley to the fourth lowest team GAA (9.84) in the NE-10. Ernst has also scored eight goals this season.

Attacker Tori Cerny (Olney, Md./Good Counsel) is the fifth All-Conference selection after being voted to the All-Rookie team. Recruited from national power Our Lady of Good Counsel, Cerny is currently fourth on the team in points (38). She's third in assists (19) and seventh in goals (19).
