Bentley Places Four on NE-10 Women’s Lacrosse All-Conference Teams

WALTHAM, Mass. – Coming off a win in the Northeast-10 quarterfinals last night, the conference announced Thursday that four Bentley Falcons have earned spots on the NE-10 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference teams.

Junior attack Cori Geiger (Agawam, Mass./Agawam) and sophomore midfielder Chelsea Larivee (Amherst, N.H./Souhegan) were named second team All-Conference, and freshmen Amy Ernst (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) and Molly Pickard (Hampton, N.H./Winnacunnet) were named to the All-Rookie team.

Geiger has now been named second team All-Conference for the third consecutive season. She finished the regular season leading the team in points (63), tied for the team lead in goals (35) and second in assists (27). She was named the NE-10 Player of the Week on March 26, and on April 21 against Adelphi, became the third player in program history to reach the 200-point milestone for her career. After Wednesday's quarterfinal win over New Haven, her 64 total points for the season is 11th in the conference.

Larivee was an all-around threat for Bentley this season. An All-Rookie selection in 2011, she finished the regular season third on the squad in goals (28) and fourth in points (36). She had points in all but four games and had four games with at least three goals, including a season-high four against So. New Hampshire on March 21. Larivee also led the team in draw controls (47), was tied for third in caused turnovers (13) and was fourth in ground balls (24).

Ernst started 13 games as a midfielder and appeared in every regular season game. She contributed eight goals and two assists for 10 points. She chipped in in other areas as well with 20 ground balls, 23 draw controls and eight caused turnovers.

Pickard, a defenseman, played in 13 regular season games and was part of a defensive group that helped Bentley post the fifth lowest team goals against average in the conference (11.15).

The Falcons, who are now 13-5 on the season, face top-seeded Le Moyne in the NE-10 semifinals on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
