The first 10-plus minutes of the second half were scoreless, until Cori Geiger (Agawam, Mass./Agawam) broke the stalemate at the 19:38 mark to give Bentley an 8-1 lead. Alex Carney (Providence, R.I./The Wheeler School) added another less than a minute later.

The Greyhounds netted two straight to cut the deficit to 9-3 with 17:04 left in the game, but Geiger and Carolyn Kynoch (Ashland, Mass./Ashland) restored the lead to eight with consecutive goals. Assumption scored five of the game's last seven goals over the final 8:22, but the game was out of reach by then.
