No. 11 Bentley Wins at No. 14 Molloy 15-8

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – 11-th ranked Bentley scored seven of the game's first eight goals on its way to a 15-8 win over 14th-ranked Molloy on Friday night in a non-conference women's lacrosse match. Junior Cori Geiger (Agawam, Mass./Agawam) scored her 100th career goal in the win and sophomore goalie Ally Dorman (Simsbury, Conn./Simsbury) made 18 saves.

The Falcons jumped out to a 7-1 lead after almost 14 minutes of play and never looked back in improving to 3-2 on the season. It's their second consecutive win.

Geiger hit the century mark just 3:23 in, canceling out the opening goal by Molloy's Kaitlynn Kelly to tie the game up. She hit 100 goals in just 40 games, and had three goals on the night for her 19th career game with at least three goals.

After Geiger's goal, four different players found the back of the net to take the lead to 5-1. Geiger scored again at the 17:46 mark, and senior Megan Wiggins (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxborough) followed that up with her second of the night for a 7-1 advantage. The last two goals of the first half were scored by Geiger and sophomore Chelsea Larivee (Amherst, N.H./Souhegan) to help Bentley lead 10-4 at the break.

Mollow got to within 12-8 with 11:51 remaining after a 4-1 run, with juniors Kaitlynn Kelly and Nicole Mastrianni each scoring twice. But the Falcons scored the final three goals of the game, starting with one by Larivee at the 8:55 mark, to put the game away.

The Falcons will go for their third straight when they travel to Dowling on Sunday afternoon.
