WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley women's lacrosse team put forth a complete effort against Saint Michael's Wednesday night, dominating the Purple Knights in an 18-3 victory that improved its record to 4-5 overall and 3-2 in the Norhteast-10.

The Falcons outshot Saint Michael's 38-8 and won the ground ball battle 37-21. They allowed only one goal that wasn't a free-position shot.

Sophomore Cori Geiger (Agawam, Mass./Agawam) had eight points on four goals and four assists to lead the Bentley attack, while freshman Chelsea Larivee (Amherst, N.H./Souhegan), sophomore Alex Carney (Providence, R.I./The Wheeler School) and junior Lauren Canepa (Hingham, Mass./Hingham) all had multiple goals. Six other players also found the back of the net.

Bentley actually trailed 1-0 early on after a free-position goal from senior attack Joan Colloton, but didn't allow another goal the rest of the half. Geiger scored three goals in a row in just over three minutes to quickly erase the deficit, and they scored nine more the rest of the half to lead 12-1 at halftime.

They reeled off three more in a row to start the second half to lead 15-1 before Saint Michael's broke the run.

Freshman goalie Ally Dorman (Simsbury, Conn./Simsbury) was called on to make four saves and earned her first career win.

Bentley is back in action on Friday night when they host Molloy in the final non-conference game of the season.
