WALTHAM, Mass. – For the second straight week and the third time this season, Bentley University freshman guard Niya Morgen (Swampscott/St. Mary's HS) has been named the Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference.

Morgen earned her latest honor Monday after a 3-0 week in which she came off the bench to average 9.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists. Her 9-of-24 shooting included 5 of 10 from three and she also made 5 of 7 free throws. Her top performance of the week came at St. Michael's when she tallied 15 on five of ten field goals, two of three treys and three of five free throws.

For the season, Morgen is averaging 9.7 points and 2.9 rebounds while playing about 23 minutes a game. She leads the conference in three-point shooting (.500) and is fifth in field goal percentage (.500).

Bentley, 13-2 overall and 8-1 NE10, is tied for first in the conference and was 18^th in last week's WBCA Division II coaches poll.

This week, the Falcons have road games at Southern Connecticut State (Tuesday) and at Pace University (Saturday).
