WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University junior left fielder Shannon Connor (West Haven, Conn./ West Haven HS) has been selected for the 2014 Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference softball team.

Connor led the Falcons in hitting for the third consecutive season, finishing at .315 with 16 runs scored, 10 RBI, six doubles, a .369 slugging percentage and a .372 on base percentage. In addition to batting average, she led the team in OBP, runs and doubles, and was second in slugging.

A .310 career hitter who'll enter her final year with 103 career hits, Connor reached base 42 percent of the time when leading off an inning. As a sophomore in 2013, she was selected for the All-Northeast-10 third team.

Connor, a corporate finance and accounting major with a 3.56 GPA, has made the President's List once and the Dean's List four times. She spent the fall 2013 semester studying abroad in Australia.

Bentley finished the season with records of 20-18 overall and 12-9 in the Northeast-10's Northeast Division.
