NE10 Championships await Bentley cross country teams

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley men's and women's cross country teams prepare for the Northeast-10 Championships, which are at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass. Sunday, Oct. 22.

The Falcons have had two weeks to rest and train for the big conference event. Bentley last raced in the New England Championships (Oct. 7). Sam Capobianco led the Bentley men to a sixth-place finish out of 15 teams. Capobiaco crossed the 8K finish line in 25:25.6, good for eighth out of 139 runners.

Cole Duval is another Falcon to keep an eye on this weekend. He began the season by earning NE10 Runner of the Week after placing 11th out of 159 runners in the Suffolk Short Course Classic (Sept. 1).

Building off of her stellar 2022 season, Bentley women's junior Caitlin Burmester is once again leading the Falcons at every meet this fall. She recently placed 15th out of 160 runners in the New England Championships, finishing the 5K in 19:02.2. It was the highest finish for a Bentley women's runner in the event since 2013 (Tara Dooley, 3rd).
