BOSTON, Mass. - Sam Capobianco placed eighth out of 139 runners to lead the Bentley men's cross country team to a sixth-place finish out of 15 teams in the New England Men's Championship at Franklin Park Saturday.

Capobianco finished the 8K in 25:58.6. He was the first NCAA D-II runner to cross the finish line. Cole Duval finished 24^th overall by timing in at 26:31.4, and Matt Chicko's time of 26:49.6 was good for 36^th.

Bentley's next race is the Northeast-10 Championship, Oct. 22, in Westfield, Mass.
