BOSTON, Mass. – Cole Duval was nearly a top-10 runner during the Bentley cross country team's 2023 season-opener in the Suffolk Short Course Classic at Franklin Park Friday.

Duval placed 11^th out of 159 runners in the 5K, crossing the finish line in 16:02.2. Sam Capobianco was close behind, as his 16:11.8 time was good for 16^th overall.

First-year Falcon Matthew Sebastyn impressed with a finish that was good for 34^th overall. His time was 16:55.4. Senior Matt Chicko had a strong finish, pushing himself to a time of 17:00.1 – good for 38^th overall.

The Falcons next compete in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational, Sept. 16.
