Tobin, Capobianco Help Bentley Finish 7th in Northeast-10 Championships

COLCHESTER, Vt. – Led by senior Brice Tolan (Abington, Mass./Abington HS) and sophomore Sam Capobianco (North Reading/Phillips Andover Acad.), the Bentley University men's cross country team finished seventh among 13 teams in the Northeast-10 Conference Championships at St. Michael's College Sunday.

Tolan finished in 31st with a time of 27:28.3 and Capobianco, in his first race of the fall, was 34th in 27:36.1.

The Falcons' top five also included freshman Max Lampe (North Haven, Conn./Salisbury School) in 39th (27:43.0), junior Cole Duval (Tolland, Mass./Mount Everett HS) in 47th (28:03.8) and senior Nick Ondr (Ozark,  Mo./Glendale HS) in 70th (28:30.5).

Bentley, with a score of 206 points, finished in between New Haven (176) and Saint Anselm (221). It was the Falcons' highest placement in the championships since 2017.

Southern Connecticut captured team honors after placing its first five in the top 15, including Northeast-10 champion Jonathan Volpe. He won the race by 15 seconds with a 24:39.3.

The Falcons will close out the season Nov. 19 at the NCAA Division II East Regional on Long Island.
