Men’s Cross Country in Florida for Saturday’s NCAA Division II Championships

WALTHAM, Mass. – For the third time in five years, Bentley University men's cross country coach Kevin Curtin has his team set for the NCAA Division II Championships with this year's to be contested in Saint Leo, Fla. Saturday morning.

It'll be an early start for the Falcons at the The Abbey Course with the starting gun set for 8:30 am. The race can be viewed live at www.ncaa.com/liveschedule, and a link to live results will be available at www.bentleyfalcons.com/sports/mxc/2016-17/schedule.

Bentley qualified for the trip to the nationals by virtue of finishing third in the NCAA Division II East Regional earlier this month. The Falcons placed all seven among the top 41 runners at the regional, the only East team to accomplish that feat.

Five of the seven Bentley student-athletes who'll be competing Saturday will be running at the nationals for the second time, including junior Graham Chapski (East Greenwich, R.I./East Greenwich HS). Chapski was the team's top finisher in the regional (ninth overall), the Northeast-10 Championships (also ninth) and the New Englands (83rd).

Others who'll be competing in their second national championship race will be seniors Nik Haas (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey HS) and Eric Alatalo (Wilmington/Wilmington HS), junior Ryan Cadorette (Saco, Maine/Thornton Academy) and sophomore Cody Murphy (Dunbarton, N.H./Goffstown HS).

Making their championship debut will be junior Seamus Higgins (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS) and senior Tim Bolick (Hopkinton/Hopkinton HS).

At last year's event, held in Joplin, Mo., Bentley was 30th among 32 teams overall with the Haas (115th) and Cadorette (117th) the Falcons' top finishers.
