Dextradeur, Robinson Top Finishers for Bentley Men at Northeast-10 Championships

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Juniors Rob Dextradeur (Branford, Conn./Branford HS) and Craig Robinson (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough HS) were the top finishers for the Bentley University Falcons at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships Sunday at Stanley Park.

Dextradeur, who missed earning All-Conference honors by just one place and 1.5 seconds, was 22nd overall with an 8,000-meter time of 25:33.98.  Robinson was four spots behind him in 26th, with his time 25:38.78.

Bentley placed five runners in the top 38 and finished sixth overall among 15 teams with a score of 142.  The Falcon top five also included senior Tom Witherell (Los Alamos, N.M./Los Alamos HS) in 30th (25:42.75), junior Sean Maguire (Essex, Vt./Essex HS) in 36th (25:52.58) and senior Gabe Campbell (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury HS) in 38th (25:57.32).

Stonehill earned the team championship over runner-up Southern Connecticut State, 44-66, and UMass-Lowell (71) was third.  Glarius Rop of American International successfully defended his individual title, winning by about 20 seconds over Steve Polito of Stonehill.

Bentley will return to action Nov. 6 when the NCAA Division II East Regional is held at Boston's Franklin Park.
