Dextradeur Leads Bentley Men’s Cross Country at New Englands

BOSTON, Mass. – Junior Rob Dextradeur (Branford, Conn./Branford HS) was the number one runner for the Bentley University men's cross country during Saturday's New England Championships at Franklin Park.

Dextradeur placed 80th overall, in a field of 282, as he covered the 8,000-meter course in 26:20. Among Northeast-10 runners, he was 12th across the finish line.

The next three Bentley runners were junior Craig Robinson (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough HS) in 108th (26:40), senior Gabe Campbell (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury HS) in 132nd (26:57) and junior Sean Maguire (Essex, Vt./Essex HS) in 153rd (27:10).

Bentley, as a team, was 24th in 43 overall, registering a score of 642. The Falcons were fourth among Division II teams, finishing behind UMass-Lowell (11th, 292), Stonehill College (15th, 319) and American International (20th, 564).

The University of Connecticut outran Dartmouth College, 149-192, for the team championship and AIC standout Glarius Rop took the individual title by 22 seconds with a time of 24:12.

Next up for the Falcons will be the Northeast-10 Conference Championships in Westfield on Oct. 23.
