Track & Field Returns With Greater Boston Track Club Meet on Sunday

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley men's and women's track and field teams will compete for the first time this semester on Sunday at the Greater Boston Track Club Championships. The meet takes place at Harvard University's Gordon Indoor Track.

Both teams last competed on Dec. 10 at the Beacon Invitational.

In that meet, the men's squad had 14 top-10 finishers. Quinn Riesenberg won two meets, the long jump and triple jump. Other highlights were Evan Bean taking third in the 400 meter, Matt Chicko placing fourth in the mile and the 4x400 relay team finishing second. That team was comprised of Hayden MacArthur, Matt Sebastyn, Finn Power and Trevor Waldstein.

On the women's side at the Beacon, Caitlin Burmester won the mile with a time of 5:10.149.

Top-10 finishers for the Falcons were HaiLian Rowan in the 60 meter.

Three student-athletes were in the top-10 in the shot put. Emma Massih (5th), Adriana Minasian (6th) and Liz DeVarney (8th).

Minasian was 7th in the high jump.

Next weekend the men's team competes at the Riverhawk Invitiational at the New Balance track on Jan. 27. The women's team is at the Riverhawk on Friday and the John Thomas Terrier Classic on Sunday.
