Bentley Finishes 5th in 4x800 at Northeast-10’s; Lawes & Deehan Advance to Finals

EASTON, Mass. – During Friday's portion of the Northeast-10 Conference  Men's Track and Field Championships at Stonehill College's W.B. Mason Stadium, the highest finish for the Bentley University Falcons was a fifth in the 4x800 relays.

Combining for a time of 8:03.66 were juniors Brice Tolan (Abington/Abington HS) and Jack Deehan (Westwood/Westwood HS) and sophomores Finn Power (East Lyme, Conn./East Lyme HS) and Matthew Chicko (North Andover/North Andover HS).

Tolan also finished sixth in the 1500 with his time of 3:56.09 a new personal best time by 1.08 seconds.

In addition to his efforts in the 4x800, Deehan advanced to Saturday's finals in the 800 with a time of 1:55.17.

Also qualifying for the finals was freshman Alex Lawes (Brick, N.J./Brick Township HS) in the 400 hurdles. He had the third best qualifying time with his 55.18 a personal best by 0.97 seconds.

Bentley scored seven points on Friday, good for seventh place.
