Bentley Relay Teams Place in Northeast-10 Championships

BOSTON, Mass. – Bentley University's 4x800 meter relay team finished fifth on Friday during the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center.

Teaming for a time of 8:04.11 were juniors Brice Tolan (Abington/Abington HS) and Jack Deehan (Westwood/Westwood HS) and sophomores Matthew Chicko (North Andover/North Andover HS) and Finn Power (East Lyme, Conn./East Lyme HS).

Bentley also scored in the 4x400, finishing eighth in 3:30.81. Freshman Alex Lawes (Brick, N.J./Brick Township HS) ran the opening leg and was followed by senior Joey Wix (Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial HS), freshman Hayden Pike (South Weymouth/ Weymouth HS) and senior Devin Wendel (Westfield, N.J./ Westfield HS).

Earlier, Tolan finished tenth in the mile with his 4:25.99 a new personal best by 1.74 seconds.

Bentley placed tenth in the meet with a total of five points. Southern Connecticut took home the championship trophy after outscoring American International 225-194.
