Bentley Places 3 on Academic All-Northeast-10 Men’s Indoor Track Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University placed a conference-high three student-athletes on the 2016 Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference Men's Indoor Team with senior Sean Nee (West Yarmouth/Dennis-Yarmouth Reg. HS) and juniors Tim Bolick (Hopkinton/Hopkinton HS) and Erik Alatalo (Wilmington/Wilmington HS) receiving the honor.

Nee captured the Northeast-10 indoor championship in the 800 meters, winning by seven-hundredths of a second over teammate Nick Skarin with a time of 1:54.79. His indoor season also included a school record in the 600 (1:22.44), a school record in the 4x800 that was set during the New Englands and indoor personal bests in the 500 (1:06.09) and 800 (1:53.73). A four-time member of the President's List, Nee has a 3.67 GPA as a finance major.

Alatalo, who also earned Academic All-Conference honors in cross country, finished third in the 5,000 at the NE-10's, finishing in 15:09.55. He was also 15th in the 5,000 at the New Englands and achieved a PR in the 3,000 (9:00.51). Alatalo, who majors in both accountancy and liberal studies, has a 3.82 GPA.

Bolick, owner of a 3.89 as a corporate finance and accounting major, was part of Bentley's 4x800 relay that set a school record of 7:40.52 at the New Englands. He was also the runner-up in the 1,000 at the Northeast-10 Championships and was ninth in the 1,000 at the New Englands. Last fall, Bolick spent the semester studying in Australia.
