Six Top-Ten Finishes for Bentley Men at George Davis Invitational, including Two by Uthman-Olukokun

LOWELL, Mass. – Members of the Bentley University men's outdoor track team recorded ten top ten finishes Saturday during the George Davis Invitational at UMass-Lowell, including two by freshman Edy-Elliot Uthman-Olukokun (West Warwick, R.I./West Warwick HS).

Uthman-Olukokun was sixth of 41 in the 100 meters, finishing in 11.34 seconds, and was also ninth of 35 in the long jump, clearing 20 feet, 8 inches. Immediately in front of him in the latter event was sophomore Anthony Charter (Hubbardston/Quabbin Reg. HS), with a throw of 20 feet, 8.5 inches.

Freshman Sean Nee (West Yarmouth/Dennis-Yarmouth Reg. HS) was seventh of 43 in the 800 meters, his time of 1:58.26 a new personal best by about six seconds. In the two mile, senior Craig Robinson (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough HS) moved to sixth on Bentley's all-time list and placed ninth of 46 overall in 9:35.47.

Also cracking the top ten was sophomore Kyle Sullivan (Burlington/Burlington HS) in the javelin, his throw of 148 feet, 6 inches putting him tenth of 23. Close behind him were a pair of freshman teammates, Jordan Morrissey (Naugatuck, Conn./Holy Cross HS) and Wes Dupray (Rowley/ St. John's Prep), each of whom set a new PR. Morrissey was 11th (147'4") and Dupray's 146'3" was good for 13th.

Senior Bryan Carton (Norwell/Norwell HS) and junior Conor Higgins (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS) were 11th in the 400 and 800, respectively. Carton finished in 52.18 seconds, and Higgins' time was 1:59.13. In the 100, junior Eric Kennedy (West Hartford, Conn./Northwest Catholic HS) was 12th of 41 (11.48) and senior John Drago (Avon, Conn./Avon HS) was 13th in the two mile (9:57.06).

Sophomore John Chiulli (Lynbrook, N.Y./Lynbrook HS) had a pair of 15th-place finishes, in the shot put (36'2.25") and in the discus (119'11"). Both of those throws improved on his existing PR, by nine and three inches, respectively.

Next up for the Falcons will be the New Hampshire Wildcat Invitational next Saturday.
