HANOVER, N.H. – Freshman Edy-Elliot Uthman-Olukokun (West Warwick, R.I./West Warwick HS) made his debut with the Bentley University men's indoor track and field team Saturday during the Dartmouth Winter Classic and came away with a first, a second and a third-place finish.

The victory came in the long jump as Uthman-Olukokun out-jumped a field of 26, with his distance of 21 feet, 6.75 inches ranking eighth on Bentley's all-time list.

Uthman-Olukokun also excelled in the sprints, placing second of 43 in the 200 meters (22.96) and third in the 60 after being fourth in the prelims in his first race as a collegian. He qualified in 7.16 seconds and bettered that with a 7.10 in the finals, best by a Falcon in that event in at least seven years.

Bentley also received notable performances in the meet from freshman Connor Hichens (Sharon, Mass./Sharon HS) and sophomores John Chiulli (Lynbrook, N.Y./Lynbrook HS) and Christian Connolly (Kingston, Mass./Silver Lake Regional HS).

Hichens was seventh in the long jump (19'9.5"), Chiulli set a new personal best in the shot put (41'8.5") while placing eighth of 21, and Connolly placed seventh of 30 in the 500 meters (1:09.10).
