Pran, Horwitz and Chadha Win Twice to Lead Bentley Past Eckerd 5-2
LAKELAND, Fla. – Nikolai Pran, Gabe Horwitz and Ansh Chadha each won in both singles and doubles to lead the men's tennis team to a 5-2 victory over Eckerd on Tuesday.
Pran and Horwitz helped Bentley win the doubles point by winning the No. 2 match, 6-4. The No. 3 match saw the Falcons' team of Ansh Chadha and Diego Ramos win in a tiebreaker, 7-6 (7-1) to give their team the doubles point.
In singles, Horwitz was a 6-1, 6-2 winner in No. 2 for his second victory of the day. Pran battled back from a set down in No. 3 to take the victory. He dropped the first set 6-2, but rallied 6-3, 6-3.
Chadha's second win of the day came in No. 4 singles, by a 7-5, 7-5 score.
In No. 6, Reilly O'Brien battled to a three set victory, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.
Bentley's Florida trip continues on Thursday when they take on Lafayette.
