Bentley Falls to Post in Regular Season Finale

MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – Bentley fell to Post 6-1 on Sunday afternoon in a non-conference match that was the final match of the regular season for both teams.

Bentley is set to take on Saint Michael's on Tuesday in the first round of the Northeast-10 Men's Tennis Championship. Post will take on Chestnut Hill in the CACC semifinals on Tuesday.

The winners for the Falcons on the day were Tawan Rattaseri (Bangkok, Thailand) and Diego Ramos (Port St. Lucia, Fla.) in No. 3 doubles and Nikolai Pran (Oslo, Norway) in No. 4 singles.

Rattaseri and Ramos defeated Josh Cronje and Gustavo Kerber 6-4. Pran then defeated Cronje 7-6, 6-4.

The No. 5 singles match between Rattaseri and Cooper Smith went to three sets. Smith took the first set 6-1 and Rattaseri forced a third set with a 6-4 victory in the second set. But Smith emerged with a 6-4 win in the decisive set.

The rest of the singles lineup for Bentley had Jordan Soifer (Stamford, Conn./Westhill) in No. 1, Max Bonte (Bradenton, Fla./St. Stephens) in No. 2, Gabe Horwitz (Lake Oswego, Ore./Lake Oswego) in No. 3 and Ramos in No. 6.

The doubles pairings were Bonte and Soifer in No. 1 and Horwitz and Pran in No. 2.
