Bentley Tops Stonehill 4-3 for Second Straight Win

EASTON, Mass. – The Bentley men's tennis team won its second straight match as they defeated Division I Stonehill 4-3 on Thursday in a non-conference match.

The Falcons won four of six singles matches to rally for the victory after they dropped the doubles point.

Senior Tawan Rattaseri (Bangkok, Thailand) won the No. 5 singles match in three sets to decide it for the Falcons. Facing off against Luke Nickerson he dropped the first set 6-4. But Rattaseri rallied to win the next two sets 7-6, 6-3 to give the Falcons their 4th point of the day.

Senior Jordan Soifer (Stamford, Conn./Westhill) won the No. 1 match, 6-3, 6-0 over Mateo Mallen. Junior Gabe Horwitz (Lake Oswego, Ore./Lake Oswego) was a 6-4, 6-4 winner in No. 3 over Christian Duffy and freshman Nikolai Pran (Oslo, Norway) was a 6-0, 6-3 winner over Mathias Langaard in No. 4.

Soifer and Max Bonte (Bradenton, Fla./St. Stephens) won the No. 1 doubles match over Mallen and Ben Simmons 6-3. But Stonehill took the No. 2 and 3 matches to earn the doubles point.

Bentley improved to 5-3 on the season with the win. They will return to the courts on Saturday to host Le Moyne at 12:00 PM.
