Bentley Earns 7-1 win over Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Bentley went on the road and earned a 7-1 non-conference victory over Springfield College on Saturday afternoon.

The Falcons led 2-1 after the doubles matches by taking the No. 2 and No. 3 matches. They then built on that advantage by winning all five of the matches that finished.

Graduate student Connor Aulson (Groveland, Mass./Pentucket) sophomore Gabe Horwitz (Lake Oswego, Ore./Lake Oswego) won in both singles and doubles on the day.

Aulson teamed with Noah Monsanto (Woodbridge, N.J./Woodbridge) in No. 3 doubles for an 8-3 victory. Horwitz combined with Liam Marr (Franklin, Mass./Franklin) for victory in No. 2 by the same score.

In singles, Auslon was a 6-0, 6-2 winner in the No. 2 match and Horwitz did not drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 victory in No. 6.

Daniel Weitz (Roslyn, N.Y./Roslyn), Max Bonte (Bradenton, Fla./St. Stephens) and Alex Novins (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley) also claimed singles victories. Weitz 6-0, 6-2 in No. 1, Bonte 6-2, 6-1 in No. 3 and Novins 6-2, 6-1 in No. 6.

Bentley (8-6) returns to the courts and NE10 play on Wednesday when they host Stonehill.
