Bentley Defeats St. Lawrence 4-1

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Bentley men's tennis team earned a 4-1 victory over St. Lawrence on Wednesday at the USTA National Campus in Orlando.

The teams split the doubles matches and Bentley swept the three singles matches to earn the win over the Saints.

Bentley's No. 1 doubles pairing of Gabe Horowitz (Lake Oswego, Ore./Lake Oswego) and Liam Marr (Franklin, Mass./Franklin) earned a 6-2 victory over Cole Hamilton and Kenden Aguilera.

In the No. 2 doubles match, St. Lawrence's Guy Holbrook and Liam Parker defeated Andrew Broom (Arsdalele, N.Y./Scarsdale) and Diego Ramos (Port St. Lucie, Fla) 6-2.

In singles, Ramos defeated Hamilton in the No. 1 match in three sets, 6-0, 3-6, 10-3. In No. 2, Marr knocked off Aguilera 6-3, 6-3 and in the No. 3 match Broom defeated Holbrook 6-4, 6-4.

The win improved Bentley's record to 6-5 on the season. They will next take on St. Thomas Aquinas on Thursday at 3:00 PM in Orlando.
