Men’s Tennis Earns 8-1 Win over Eastern Nazarene

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley men's tennis team stayed unbeaten this fall with an 8-1 victory over visiting Eastern Nazarene on Thursday.

Five different players won in both singles and doubles to help the Falcons improve to 4-0 in the fall season.

Graduate student Daniel Weitz (Roslyn, N.Y./Roslyn), sophomore Max Bonte (Bradenton, Fla./St. Stephens) and junior Jordan Soifer (Stamford, Conn.) were among those to win twice.

Weitz and Bonte combined for an 8-1 victory in No. 1 doubles, while Soifer and grad student Connor Aulson (Groveland, Mass./Pentucket) teamed for an 8-4 win in No. 2.

The freshman duo of Liam Marr (Franklin, Mass./Franklin) and Reilly O'Brien (Andover, Mass./Andover) helped Bentley complete the double sweep with an 8-6 win in No. 3.

The singles matches were highlighted by Soifer, who dropped just one game in a 6-0, 6-1 win in No. 3. Marr (6-2, 6-1) and O'Brien (6-1, 7-5) both won their singles matches in straight sets for their second victories of the day.

Bentley will play its final match of the fall on Friday at 3:00 pm when they visit Endicott College.
