Bentley Defeats Emerson 5-2

BOSTON, Mass. – Bentley University won its second straight dual match of the fall season, with a 5-2 victory over Emerson College on Saturday.

Bentley swept all three doubles matches and won four of six in singles play.

Bentley's No. 1 doubles pairing of graduate students Connor Aulson (Groveland, Mass./Pentucket) and Daniel Weitz (Roslyn, N.Y./Roslyn) led the charge in doubles with a 6-1 victory.

In No. 2, freshman Liam Marr (Franklin, Mass./Franklin) and sophomore Gabe Horowitz (Lake Oswego, Ore./Lake Oswego) were 6-0 victors and in No. 3 freshmen Noah Monsanto (Woodbridge, N.J./Woodbridge) and Reilly O'Brien (Andover, Mass./Andover) won 6-1.

Aulson won his second match of the day in singles, 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 2 position. Monsanto and O'Brien also claimed their second wins of the day in singles. Monsanto, 6-1, 6-2 in No. 4 and O'Brien, 6-0, 6-3 in No. 5. Freshman Andrew Broom (Scarsdale, N.Y./Scarsdale) won his debut match, 6-0, 6-1 in No. 6.

The Falcons will next be in action on Tuesday when they host Eastern Nazarene.
