GOFFSTOWN, N.H. – Bentley University won its second straight Northeast-10 men's tennis championship Saturday night with a 5-4 victory over top-seeded Southern New Hampshire. Freshman Andrew Waddington (Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial) and junior Victor Suski (West Hartford, Conn./William Hall) won the final two singles matches to give Bentley the victory.

With Southern leading 4-3 after NE-10 Player of the Year Mitchell Dobek defeated sophomore Lucas Wever (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) 7-6 (7-1), 7-6 (8-6) in number one singles, Bentley needed to win the last two singles matches still in progress to win.

The Penmen led 2-1 after the doubles matches. Juniors Alec Spycher (Sarasota, Fla./Saint Stephens Episcopal) and Zach Tuckman (Kinnelon, N.J./Morristown Beard School) earned the point for Bentley, blanking Dobek and Jared Wright 8-0 in the second-flight.

When the match moved to singles Spycher made it 2-2, beating Wright 6-1, 6-4 in the fourth-flight, and sophomore Rodrigo Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) gave Bentley a 3-2 advantage with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Alex Mukdaprakorn in the third-flight.
