WALTHAM, Mass. – On the same day he received All-Conference honors from the Northeast-10 and his team advanced to the semifinals of the NE-10 Tournament, sophomore Rodrigo Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) was named the conference's Player of the Week for the first time this season.

Ribeiro was instrumental in helping Bentley win a share of the NE-10 regular season title with a  5-4 win at Merrimack last Saturday afternoon. He won his number two singles match against Max Eppley 7-6, 6-2, and he and doubles partner Lucas Wever (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) got the better of Eppley and Chris Barnhart in the top-flight match, 8-3.

Ribeiro and freshman Andrew Waddington (Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial) are the two Falcons to win the Player of the Week award this season.

Bentley will face Merrimack in the NE-10 semifinals Thursday afternoon.
