So. New Hampshire Snaps Bentley’s Conference Winning Streak, 6-3

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University men's tennis team's 19-match Northeast-10  regular season win streak came to an end Sunday, as So. New Hampshire tripped up the Falcons 6-3.

It's the first time the Falcons have dropped a conference match in the regular season since April 5, 2009 against Merrimack. They're now 7-7 overall and 7-1 in the NE-10, while the Penmen improve to 8-5 overall and 8-1.

So. New Hampshire swept the doubles, while Bentley took three of the six singles matches. Sophomore Lucas Wever (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) won in the top-flight, beating Mitch Dobek 7-6,6-3. The other singles winners were junior Alec Spycher (Sarasota, Fla./Saint Stephens Episcopal) in the fourth-flight, 6-0, 6-2 over Jared Wright and junior Victor Suski (West Hartford, Conn./William Hal) in the fifth-flight, 6-1, 6-1 over Tim Hamilton.

Bentley will look to get back in the win column Wednesday afternoon at Stonehill.
