Falcons Continue to Roll with 195-85 Victory over Brandeis

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley men's swimming and diving team continued to roll as they defeated Brandeis 195-85 on Friday night.

Senior Andrew Matjucha won both the 1000 and 500 freestyle races. He won the 1000 by almost 18 seconds with a time of 10:21.94. He touched first in the 500 with a time of 5:01.29.

Freshman John Zhang continued the impressive start to his career with three more wins, in the 100 and 200 breaststroke and 200 IM. His 200 IM time of 1:57.85 was a season best.

Zhang also contributed to the 200 medley relay team that won, along with Danny Lehr, Joey Twomey and Wellington Chen.

Twomey swam a season best in the 100 fly to win that race in 53.28.

Owen Angkatavanich swept the diving events. The Falcons closed the meet with a win in the 200 free relay with the team of Lehr, Daniel Ivanchikov, Tyler Marzano and Chen touching first in 1:30.03.

The Falcons improved to 4-0 on the season. They will be back in the pool next Saturday at Keene State.
