Falcons Outpoint Assumption 155-68

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley men's swimming and diving won its 23rd straight meet on Sunday with a 155-68 victory over Assumption at the Dana Center.

The 200 medley relay team of Matt Walden, Kenneth Ryu, Peter Epp and Jules Rouyer began the meet with a victory in a time of 1:41.16.

Leighton Wielgoszinski then took the 1000 freestyle in 10:16.60 and Patrick Tarka followed with a victorious swim in the 200 free in 1:50.91.

Freshman John Zhang continued to rack up the wins. He won the 100 backstroke in 53.33, and later in the meet won the 200 breast stroke in 2:11.51

Joey Twomey edged Assumption's Andrew Keenan in the 200 fly by four 100th of a second, as he touched first in 2:02.01.

Senior Sergio Torres took the final freestyle swim of the meet, taking the 100 in 49.85. The 200 back was won by Griffin Keliher in 2:04.97.

The meet was the final one at the Dana Center until 2024. They will be on the road for the next six meets, starting on Friday at Brandeis.
