Vizental, Looney Help Bentley Men Stay Unbeaten in Dual Action, 181-97

WALTHAM, Mass. – Seniors Ryan Looney (Wilton, Conn./Wilton HS) and Anthony Vizental (Concord, Calif./Clayton Valley HS) each won three individual events and were part of the Falcons' winning 200 yard free relay team as Bentley University downed St. Michael's College, 181-97, in men's college swimming Tuesday afternoon at the Dana Center pool.

Bentley, in its first action since returning from the exam and holiday break, remained undefeated with its sixth dual win of the season. The Falcons captured all 16 events against the 3-4 Purple Knights.

Looney was the first to the wall in the 50 freestyle (21.67), the 200 backstroke (2:07.48) and the 100 butterfly (54.21). Vizental's winning performances came in the 200 free (1:47.86), the 200 breaststroke (2:15.86) and the 200 individual medley (2:02.41).

In the 200 free relay, they teamed with junior Jake Eastman (Bolton/Nashoba Regional HS) and sophomore Calvin Ye (Port Washington, N.Y./Paul D. Schreiber HS) for a first-place time of 1:29.09.

Double-winners for the Falcons were graduate student Jeremy Glick (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS) and Andrew Matjucha (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS). Glick swept the diving with scores of 284.39 off the one-meter board and 244.19 from the three-meter. The wins for Matjucha came in the 1000 free (10:15.15) and the 500 free (4:59.86).

The other individual event winners for Bentley were Eastman in the 100 back (58.49), sophomore Kenneth Ryu (Los Angeles, Calif./Loyola HS) in the 100 breast (1:01.44), Ye in the 200 fly (2:02.08) and freshman Carter Ferrara (Coto de Casa, Calif./Mater Dei HS) in the 100 free (49.64).

Bentley, which swept the top three places in five events, will host Adelphi University Thursday at 4 pm.
