Vizental Continues to Impress as Bentley Men Swim Past Keene State, 177-93

WALTHAM, Mass. – Senior Anthony Vizental (Concord, Calif./Clayton Valley HS) won three events, all in Northeast-10 Conference season-best times, and broke two pool records, while leading the Bentley University men's swimming and diving team to a 177-93 win over Keene State College Saturday in the Dana Center pool.

Vizental's wins came in the 50 yard breaststroke (27.30), the 100 freestyle (47.58) and the 50 butterfly (23.25). His performance in the 50 breast broke the pool record, set by Keene's Ethan Eldridge in 2015, by 0.27 seconds. His 50 fly time erased a record that belonged to Chris Pai of Brandeis since 2004 by nearly an identical margin, 0.28 seconds.

The Falcons, 5-0, went 1-2-3 in four events: the 50 free, the 100 backstroke,

the 100 breast and the 100 individual medley. The winners were sophomore Marshall Wilson (Beverly Hills, Fla./Crystal Ranch HS) in the 50 free (22.35), freshman Leighton Wielgoszinski (Madison, Ind./Madison Consolidated HS) in the 100 back (57.87), sophomore Calvin Ye (Port Washington, N.Y./Paul D. Schreiber HS) in the 100 breast (1:02.86) and sophomore Kenneth Ryu (Los Angeles, Calif./Loyola HS) in the 100 IM (56.64, a Northeast-10 season-best.).

Double-winners for the Falcons were graduate student Jeremy Glick (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor HS), senior Tanner Eisenhut (Jamesville, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius HS) and Wielgoszinski.

Glick achieved scores od 278.77 from the one-meter board and 207.59 from the three-meter. Eisenhut's victories came in the 200 free (1:50.23) and the 500 free (5:10.51). Wielgoszinski also touched first in the 100 butterfly (55.58) and was part of the Falcons' two winning relays.

Bentley, whose next dual meet is in January, will compete in the WPI Gompei Invitational Dec. 2-4.
