Bentley Men Stay Unbeaten in Dual Competition with 134-75 Win over Bridgewater St.

WALTHAM, Mass. – Seniors Mark Zoda (Nashua., N.H./Bishop Guertin HS) and Owen Busser (Chelmsford/Chelmsford HS), each of whom were competing in the Dana Center pool for the final time, helped the Bentley University men's swimming and diving team stay unbeaten in dual competition with a 134-75 win over Bridgewater State Tuesday night.

Zoda earned victories in the 50 yard freestyle (21.47) and the 200 backstroke (2:03.37) after earlier anchoring Bentley's winning 200 medley relay (1:37.07). He was joined on the relay by classmates Oscar Chang (Dix Hills, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills West HS) and Zach Papsco (Northport, N.Y./Northport HS), along with graduate student Alec Lanza (Hartland, Wis./ Arrowhead HS).

Busser swept the two diving competitions, putting up scorers of 241.15 off the one-meter board and 255.45 from the three-meter.

Bentley's other double-winner was junior Anthony Vizental (Concord, Calif./Clayton Valley HS), who was the first to touch in the 200 butterfly (1:56.69) and in the 200 breaststroke (2:09.45). The latter was a Northeast-10 Conference season-best surpassing his own 2:10.77, set in December at WPI.

The other individual winners for the Falcons were junior Michael Motisi (Ellington, Conn./Ellington HS) in the 1000 free (10:34.46), freshman Calvin Ye (Port Washington, N.Y./ Paul D. Schreiber HS) in the 200 free (1:49.20), junior Ryan Looney (Wilton, Conn./Wilton HS) in the 100 free (49.05) and sophomore Andrew Matjucha (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS) in the 500 free (5:07.04).

Bentley, 7-0, will close out its dual schedule Friday afternoon at St. Michael's College.
