Bentley Swim Teams Recognized by CSCAA for Academic Success

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University men's and women's swimming and diving teams have received Scholar All-America Team Awards from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for their academic performance during the fall semester.

Bentley was one of 49 Division II institutions to have both its men's and women's teams recognized, and one of four Northeast-10 Conference programs to have both teams honored. The women's team posted a 3.55 grade point average during the fall, 27th best in Division II and the men's team had a 3.40, 23rd best.

Twelve of the 18 members of the women's team had at least a 3.50 during the semester and seven were at 3.75 or better. On the men's team, 16 of 30 achieved at least a 3.50 and half of those recorded at least a 3.75.

Greg Earhart, CSCAA Executive Director highlighted Bentley's achievements noting, "Coach Samko continues, year-in, year-out to do great things. These 48 men and women are some of the best ambassadors that Bentley and the NE-10 could ask for."

The CSCAA presents the Team Scholar All-America Award to swimming and diving programs who earn a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher. This was the 14th straight semester that both the Bentley men and women have been honored.
